This takes me back to when I lived in Jeddah. You take for granted so much but you don’t realize until it’s gone. You take for granted the exhilarating feeling that comes with seeing every single person out doors just freeze. And step outside, shut down their stores, put big pieces of black cloth over their produce and spices, and pull down the shutters to make their way to the nearest masjid to pray. You take for granted the free dates and water being passed out during Ramadan. You take for granted the opportunitty to live 2-3 hours away from Medinah and Makkah. And most of all, you take for granted the Azaan.
